Abhimanyu — how to start
A picture book for the founder. Read this once.

Two names, one practice

EzeTax is your firm.
Abhimanyu is the locked client portal — the private page that used to live in Notion.

You hold the keys. Each client gets one room. They never see another client.
Your employees only see the rooms you open for them.

There is no self sign-up. You issue every login.

Do these seven things
────────────────────────────────

1. YOU SIGN IN FIRST
   Open the website. Tap Client sign in. Open the Team tab.
   Sign in with Google, X, or a staff username.
   The first person from EzeTax who signs in becomes the owner.

   You’ll know it worked when you see a left-hand menu: Start here, Overview, Clients, Team.

2. OPEN A PAGE FOR ONE CLIENT
   Tap Start here — or tap New client workspace.
   Type the company’s legal name and the email you already use with them.
   PAN and GSTIN help. Name + email is enough to start.
   Pick the first service (GST, income tax, ROC, TDS or payroll).
   Abhimanyu fills the checklist, the upload slots, and the invoice line.

   You’ll know it worked when a username and a one-time password appear.

3. CATCH THE TWO SECRETS
   Copy the username.
   Copy the password. You see the password only once.
   If you lose it, open the client file and tap Reset password. A new one is minted.
   Passwords expire every 60 days. Abhimanyu will ask them to set a new one.

   You’ll know it worked when those two lines are in a private note — not a group chat.

4. SEND IT TO THE CLIENT
   On that same screen, tap Copy WhatsApp note.
   Paste it only to that client (a call, a sealed note, or a one-to-one WhatsApp).
   Tell them: Client sign in → type the letters → tick “I am not a robot” → sign in → set your own password.

   You’ll know it worked when they have the two lines and know which button to tap.

5. CHECK WHAT THEY WILL SEE
   On the client file, tap View as client.
   You see their page without logging out: their name, their checklist, nobody else.
   If you are happy, they can walk in.

   You’ll know it worked when the preview shows only that one company.

6. WAIT FOR PAPERS
   When they upload, a ping is written to services@ezetax.in
   and a copy lands in Mail room on the left.
   Open the client file. Tick the compliance lines.
   Put the finished work under Deliverables. Put the bill under Invoice.
   Assign an employee on the same file if they should work it.

   You’ll know it worked when Recent uploads on the firm desk shows the file.

7. CLOSE THE JOB
   On the service, mark it complete.
   The client gets a mail. The invoice stays on their private page.
   Next quarter (or next year) open a new service on the same client.
   Do not create a second login.

   You’ll know it worked when they can see the deliverable, the invoice, and a closed job.

Adding an employee
────────────────────────────────

Team → Issue a firm login → pick Staff or Manager.
Or they sign in with Google and wait on “Access pending”.
You approve them on Team.

Staff = work only the clients you assign.
Manager = run the practice day to day.
Owner = you. Every key.

If something feels stuck
────────────────────────────────

I closed the password screen.
   Open the client file → Reset password. Send the new one.

The client says the letters are wrong.
   Ask them to tap the refresh icon next to the code, type the new letters, and tick “I am not a robot”.

An employee is stuck on “Access pending”.
   You: Team → find their name → approve → pick Staff or Manager.

I cannot see a client that exists.
   Staff only see assigned files. Open the client as owner and assign that employee.

They forgot the password after changing it.
   You reset it. They cannot recover it themselves. That is by design.

The locks, in one breath
────────────────────────────────

The site runs on encrypted transport (the lock in the browser).
Clients type a code and tick “I am not a robot”.
Five wrong passwords lock the account for fifteen minutes.
Passwords rotate every two months.
Each client sees only their page.
Staff see only assigned files.
Every open, upload and reset is written to the audit trail.
